1) The hours per week variables [CV_HRS_PER_WEEK.xx] are created each round using data reported during the current interview when available. In a few round 11 cases, the variable was incorrectly calculated using the hours using a prior spell of the job rather than the start date of the current spell. The cases that are affected have the following PUBID's: 1034, 3153, 4444, 5066, 5348, 5484, 6351, 6538, 6572, 7460, 7877, 8041, 8495, and 8636. The other created variables that could be affected by the similar situations are: CV_JOBS_13_WKS.xx, CV_HRLY_PAY.xx and CV_HRLY_COMPENSATION.xx.

2) The random value variable (YPECC-001B), which was used in the contraceptive choice module in round 11, was omitted from the latest NLSY97 release but is available by downloading nlsy97ypecc1b.zip. This variable will be included in the next full release of NLSY97 data.

10) Omitted from the round 4 Codebook Supplement is the documentation of the program creating the Round 4 ESR and collapsed ESR variables (CV_ESR, R55289.00 and CV_ESR_COLLAPSED, R55290.00). This text-file is available by downloading esr.sas.

11) Additional round 1 through round 6 PIAT variables that detail the test answers and conditions are now available by downloading PIAT_er.zip. These variables will be included in the next full release of NLSY97 data.

The numbers in the last two columns (DEFF and DEFT) of tables 5.37-5.48 were incorrect (Table 5.49, which summarizes these tables, was also incorrect) in the NLSY97 Technical Sampling Report. These tables have been corrected, and the whole Section (Section 5.5) containing these tables can be downloaded and replaced in the NLSY97 Technical Sampling Report.
