Spanking rates are often high for all groups, but patterns also vary by age, sex, SES, marital status, ethnicity, religion, and community type. Policy discussion focuses on reevaluation of spanking norms, arguments for using the term corporal punishment in research and policy, and strategies to reduce the use of physical force as discipline. |
